Description

Musical Theater incorporates many styles of dance.  In this beginning dance class we will learn the basics of ballet, jazz, hip hop and tap.  The goal of this dance class is to become familiar with dance steps and technique used in musical theater and to perform choreography that will help students grow in their confidence as dancers and performers! 
This class will perform in the spring showcase on the last class night.

* dance clothes are required for this class.  Black pants, shorts or skirt (with tights) preferred.  No Jeans.  Jazz shoes and sneakers needed. Tap shoes are optional and won't be used in the showcase.

Kallie Kay

Kallie Kay is an alumni of CYT San Diego, CYT Fredericksburg, and CYT Colorado Springs. She has loved all things musical theater from the time she was little. It has always been a dream of hers to be able to give back to the CYT community through teaching and directing for CYT productions, and now she is excited to combine her love for Jesus and her passion for leading other people to find their God given passions and her love for dance and musical theater. She has trained in various styles of dance since she was young both with CYT and with other companies including studying dance and vocal performance at Colorado Christian University. She enjoys teaching and choregraphing for CYT and is looking forward to another wonderful season at CYT!
