So what does a HYPE member actually do? In short—they connect, dream, pray, and plan. They give input to CYT leadership about programming and events, lead socials, fundraisers, and service projects, and serve in shows through cast, crew, or production support.
At its heart, HYPE is about leadership through relationships. Students intentionally mentor younger or newer CYT kids—helping them feel welcome, leading devotions at rehearsals, and creating fun experiences.
Leadership can be hard to measure, but it’s the most important part of HYPE, because impacting other people’s lives is what makes CYT a true family.
HYPE also serves through projects—both within CYT and in the community.
Then there are the socials—fun events that build community at CYT, while teaching responsibility and teamwork as students learn to plan and host events.
Fundraising is another key piece. HYPE puts on creative fundraisers to contribute to CYT’s sponsorship fund and even donate to other causes. Along the way, students pick up valuable skills in budgeting, planning, and financial responsibility.
To make all of this work, HYPE members serve in leadership roles: president, vice president, secretary, ministry coordinator, etc. Each role has unique responsibilities, but together they give students real-world leadership experience and a chance to shape CYT’s culture.
HYPE is more than just a student leadership team—it’s a training ground for servant leaders, role models, and influencers who are shaping the future of CYT and their communities.

APPLICATIONS FOR HYPE WILL BE AVAILABLE BEGINNING OCTOBER 15TH
