Show-in-a-Week: Shrek Kids! (week 2)

9:00am-3:00pm
Age 8-13 (students must be 8 by the first day of camp)

Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way. 
Come and learn the process of telling a magical story on stage, from auditions and callbacks to the final show at the end of the week, with some fun theater games in the mix! Build your confidence, grow in your singing, dancing, and acting, or just come along for the thrill of the ride! 
Using simple costumes (some costume items may be brought from home), we will tell this fun story using the sets and props from CYT's main stage spring show!
Students will receive a show script and a custom camp T-shirt to perform in! 

*Refund policy- Refunds are available until May 15th with a $25 fee. After May 15th and before two weeks prior to camp, refunds are available with a $100 fee. There are no refunds or camp transfers beginning two weeks before each camp begins. Camp transfers to other camp weeks are possible if space is available up to two weeks before camp begins.
