APEX Dance Prep- Advanced Technique & Choreography
Video Audition required- this class is for teens or 12 year olds who are ready to work hard and learn at an advanced level

In this small class for advanced or hardworking intermediate level dancers you will learn skills that will elevate your dancing to a whole new level.
The first hour each week will be a technique class where you will develop and refine strong dance technique that will help make you a stand out dancer at future auditions and shows. You will also learn a short combo from various dance styles each week. The second hour will be a choreography workshop where you will learn how to choreograph your own solo, duet or small group dance number in the dance style of your choice to perform at our Spring Class Showcase.

There is no requirement to attend CYT Expo to be a part of this class, but you are welcome to join the trip to Dallas this summer to attend EXPO and learn by watching the other CYT dance teams competing in the APEX competition. If you choreograph a solo, you could also enter the APEX Dance Solo competition (Expo registration is required to enter the competition). For more info on expo, visit cyt.org/expo

You will receive a video of a short combo to learn. Then you will submit a video via our audition submission link.

Session class dates for Monday classes are: 
Feb. 19, 26
March 4, 11, 18 (no class March 25th for Spring Break)
April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
Class showcase will be April 29th.

Prerequisite: Students must have auditioned and been selected for this class
