CYT Lite Show: A Year with Frog and Toad Kids!

We are so excited to offer a CYT Lite show as a performance opportunity for 8 to 12-year-olds! This class will be fast-paced and packed with learning as the students work toward performing the 30-minute show, A Year with Frog and Toad Kids! Rehearsals will take place on Tuesdays during CYT class time from 4:30-6:30. This class extends longer than the other fall session classes and also has two Saturday rehearsals and a Monday night tech rehearsal, so please look closely at the dates below.  The class will perform two public performances on October 28th.
Students will submit a vocal audition video before we begin rehearsals. Callbacks and dance auditions will be held on the first day of class. There are no parent committee requirements, although we will ask for volunteers to help with concessions and tech for the performances or any other needs that come up. This production will use simple costumes, with some items brought from home, as well as simple sets and props. 
Our goal with this class is to give our amazing students a chance to shine on stage in a low pressure environment with a much smaller commitment than a main stage show.  Students who choose to participate in this Lite show are not eligible to audition for Annie or A Christmas Carol. We are looking forward to getting started on A Year with Frog and Toad and hope you are excited to join us!
* There is a $100 production fee in addition to regular class tuition to cover the additional rehearsal hours, show licensing and tech needs. The total cost of the class is $325

A Year with Frog and Toad Kids!
Based on Arnold Lobel's well-loved books, the jazzy, upbeat score bubbles with melody. Part vaudeville, part make-believe, and all charm, A Year with Frog and Toad KIDS tells the story of a friendship that endures throughout the seasons.
This whimsical show follows two great friends – the cheerful, popular Frog, and the rather grumpy Toad – through four fun-filled seasons. Waking from hibernation, Frog and Toad plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, go sledding and learn life lessons along the way. Throughout the year, two best friends celebrate and rejoice in the differences that make them unique and special.
