Ace the Audition- a voice class for ages 11-14
Tuesdays 4:30-8:30

Do you ever struggle when it comes time to audition for an upcoming show? Then this class will be a great fit for you! 

This action-packed class is designed to help you conquer the audition process with ease for not only CYT shows, but for a variety of audition types. Learn how to select a song that suits your voice, make bold acting choices in your monologue, and enter the audition room with confidence. With personalized feedback, mock auditions, preparation games, and opportunities to practice in a supportive environment, students will walk away feeling prepared, polished, and ready to ace their next big audition. The journey ends with a Showcase where you can put your new skills to the test!

Chris Jones

Chris Jones has been involved in music and performing his whole life. While attending Houston Baptist University he was the student conductor for the university choirs where he discovered the joy he gets when helping people create beautiful music with the talents God has given them. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Music and Christianity, he continued in music ministry as a worship pastor. His excitement for theater and performing in stage productions was recently reignited and since then he has performed in a number of community theater productions. He is excited for the opportunity to continue teaching with CYT and share his passion for music with another generation of performers. He loves his family and the excitement that comes with his four children, and he is grateful to God for life’s many blessings.
