Description

Musical Theater: Coco
In this class, we will explore the themes of family, forgiveness and following your dreams in the gifts God has given you through the songs and story of the Disney Pixar movie, Coco. Students will learn what it's like to be in a musical production! Class activities will include learning the fundamentals of acting, singing and dancing for musical theater. 
Students will learn how to "become," their character, how to perform scenes alone and with others, learn basic musical style choreography, practice vocal techniques, and play games and exercises that will teach them how to build confidence and conquer nerves!

My name is Alexis and I'm so excited to join the CYT family! As an alumni of CYT Tucson in Arizona, I remember the life changing impact it had on me, and I'm so excited to help play a part in that experience for students! After high school, I moved to Los Angeles and started pursuing an acting career, got to work on a few different TV and film sets, as well as taking classes. In 2019, I relocated to Colorado. I had the opportunity to perform with the Iron Springs Chateau and Peak Performing Arts. I'm also currently signed with Wilhelmina Denver. Outside of acting, I love video creating, traveling, art, cooking, serving at my church and spending time with friends and family! I'm so thrilled to rejoin the CYT family!
