Teen Acting: Acting in Faith (ages 13-18)
Explore the intersection of your faith and artistic calling in this transformative acting class based on Michael Kary’s “Acting in Faith: A Christian’s Guide to the Acting World.” This class provides a supportive environment where actors can develop their craft while integrating biblical principles and values into their approach to performance. Through practical exercises, scene work, and thoughtful discussion, students will learn how to grow their talents to serve a higher purpose, and view acting as a form of ministry and creative stewardship. This class offers a unique opportunity to strengthen both your performance skills and spiritual foundation, discovering how faith can inform and enhance every aspect of your work on stage. The book Acting in Faith by Michael Kary will be required for this class.

Reagan is thrilled to be returning for her seventh year with CYT! Theatre has been a part of Reagan's story since her own days as a CYT student, and it is a joy and a privilege to now pour that same passion into the next generation of performers. Reagan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from Biola University and a Master's degree from Denver Seminary. Her directing credits with CYT include 3 show in a week camps, Descendants and now Shrek the Musical. She brings both her love of the craft and her faith into every rehearsal room, believing deeply that our God is a creative God and that theatre is one of the most powerful ways we can bring honor and glory to His name. Reagan's prayer is that every student who walks through these doors would leave not only with a deeper love for the art, but with a deeper knowledge of who God created them to be.
