Chris Jones has been involved in music and performing his whole life. While attending Houston Baptist University he was the student conductor for the university choirs where he discovered the joy he gets when helping people create beautiful music with the talents God has given them. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Music and Christianity, he continued in music ministry as a worship pastor. His excitement for theater and performing in stage productions was recently reignited when he was invited to be an additional bass voice in a production of "Matilda the Musical". Last summer he had the opportunity to perform in a local community theater production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s "Cinderella" as the character Sebastian. He is currently working with another community theater group on a production of "She Loves Me" as Mr. Maraczek that will play in February/March. He is excited to continue teaching with CYT and was honored to be the music director for last Fall’s CYT production of "High School Musical". He loves his family and the excitement that comes with his four children, and he is grateful to God for life’s many blessings.
