Cultivatepoise and grace in our Ballet Foundations classes, specially designed for students who are in the early years of their formal ballet training. At Cultivate Performing Arts Academy, we proudly introduce dancers to the renowned Vaganova method adapted to the needs of our students. In this foundational class, students will learn the core principles of classical ballet with a focus on proper alignment and muscle engagement while executing the fundamental par terre, barre and center exercises.
Dancers wear a uniform leotard, pink tights*, matching canvas ballet slippers and a uniform skirt. (*or skin toned as appropriate with matching tights).
Ballet Foundations typically requires a minimum of two years of study before progressing to Intermediate. Dancers will perform in our Christmas Showcase (wearing uniforms) and Spring Production (with purchased costumes).
The school year concludes with a required supportive and structured exam where students can celebrate their progress!
Dancers enrolling in Ballet Foundations and pursuing excellence in Musical Theater are strongly encouraged to register for at least 3 dance styles.
Ballet classes within the Studio Program are designed for students who desire to be challenged in ballet but at a lower time commitment than our Conservatory
If is auditioning, at least 1 guardian must sign up for a Production Team. Please select your preferred choice, however your Production Team is subject to change.
