Seedlings is a transitional pre-ballet and pre-tap combo class designed for dancers who are at least 2.5 years old and may turn 3 during the year.
As a delightful introduction to the world of dance, Seedlings is a transitional class designed to help young dancers grow in independence. At first parents may need to stay close by their dancer and as little dancers grow in confidence parents eventually remain outside of the classroom. While many other students are able to independently jump into class right away! Through themed storytelling, engaging props, and a wide variety of age-appropriate music, your child will be introduced to musicality and rhythm, coordination and control, strength and flexibility, artistry and creativity and basic dance steps and vocabulary. This class uses the BLOSSOMS early childhood curriculum designed to integrate important fine and gross motor skills, core strength exercises, and pre-academic skills all while dancing and having fun!
Dancers wear a uniform leotard with attached skirt, pink* tights, matching canvas ballet slippers and black Oxford style tap shoes.
Seedlings perform in our Christmas Showcase (wearing uniforms) and Spring Production (wearing purchased costumes).
If is auditioning, at least 1 guardian must sign up for a Production Team. Please select your preferred choice, however your Production Team is subject to change.
