Mikaylin Farley is a passionate and creative dance instructor with over 10 years of experience teaching and choreographing in various styles for all ages. With a personal connection to the benefits that dance can have on mental health, Mikaylin not only desires to create pieces that tell stories, but to teach students that dance is more than movement and accolades; it’s an expression of worship and heart. She started dancing at the age of 4 in a preschool program and fell in love with the art. Her background includes studio training, four years of competitive varsity dance team, awards for choreography in competitions, and various workshops to develop skills and broaden her experience in the dance field. After some time studying a BFA in dance at Missouri State University, she returned to her hometown in St. Louis and became certified in the kinderdance method, traveling to preschools weekly, sharing the love of dance with littles. Aside from dance Mikaylin has extensive experience in musical theatre, character work, and speaking engagements. Some of her favorite projects include choreography for The Music Man and Oklahoma!, character work for the world renown St.Charles Christmas Traditions festival, and character work at The Muny. Mikaylin is also a passionate speaker who loves sharing the Gospel and the faithfulness of God throughout the struggles of mental health. Mikaylin is a proud military spouse and mother to two toddlers. After a brief hiatus to start her family and multiple cross country moves to support her husband's military career, she is excited to return to the studio to inspire young dancers in a joyful, encouraging environment while sharing her passion about the intersection of dance, mental health, and faith.
