Conservatory 1: Week 4 (July 14 and July 16) **Dancers who would like to attend more than one week of Tues/Thurs classes should also register for Week 2, 3, and/or 4**
This class is for students currently enrolled in Conservatory 1 and those interested in joining Cultivate's Classical Ballet Conservatory.
Dancers attend both Tuesday & Thursday class for a total of 4 hours this week. Classes includes par terre, ballet technique, and a specialty class. Specialty classes could include, but are not limited to, classes such as modern dance fundamentals, contemporary phrase work, etudes, dance history, etc.
In Conservatory 1, students begin studying Vaganova’s Level 1 syllabus which includes barre, center and par terre work in a kind and nurturing environment. This class is designed for dancers who possess the necessary strength, flexibility and internal work ethic that are typically built over 1-2 years of Pre-Conservatory. However, beginners who demonstrate a strong desire and physical aptitude may also be considered.
All Conservatory class sizes are kept small to ensure a healthy, close-knit community where each student can build a close relationship with their teacher and each other.
