Each Tuesday & Thursday class throughout the summer includes par terre, ballet technique, and a specialty class. Specialty classes could include, but are not limited to, classes such as pointe technique, modern dance or contemporary phrase work, variations, dance history, etc.
In Conservatory 3, students will dance en pointe and begin their study of Vaganova’s level 2 syllabus. Throughout the year, students increase their technical skills both on flat and en pointe while refining their performance quality and advancing their artistic interpretation. Due to the addition of pointe work, Conservatory 3 students must be at least 11 years old and demonstrate the necessary strength and skills prior to the start of the season.
All Conservatory class sizes are kept small to ensure a healthy, close-knit environment where each student can build a close relationship with their teacher and each other.
