Step up your rhythm game in our dynamic Tap Intermediate 2/Advanced dance class! Designed for serious tappers ages 13 and up who are looking to push their technical boundaries. In this class, dancers will deepen their understanding of advanced rhythmic concepts to develop sophisticated timing and musical phrasing. They will work towards technical precision to achieve clarity, articulation, and control in every tap while attempting faster, more complex sequences. Instructors will differentiate combinations to challenge each dancer with appropriate combinations to help students master advanced tap technique, complex rhythmic phrasing, and dynamic performance elements. The school year culminates with a required, supportive and structured exam to measure progress and guide future placement.
Dancers wear a uniform leotard, black v-waisted jazz pants, and black lace up tap shoes.
Dancers will perform in our Christmas Showcase (wearing uniforms) and Spring Production (wearing purchased costumes).
All Tap Intermediate and Advanced students are strongly encouraged to also take Jazz. In Musical Theater, tap and jazz are critical skills. By enrolling in both students can ensure their progress through our levels is consistent. Dancers who are interested in studying Musical Theater more deeply should consider enrolling in a minimum of three dance styles.
If is auditioning, at least 1 guardian must sign up for a Production Team. Please select your preferred choice, however your Production Team is subject to change.
